  Introduction

IF YOU ARE FACILITATING A GROUP...PLEASE READ THIS.

When you hear the word “Leader”, what comes to mind? Do you see yourself as a leader?

Women tend to disqualify themselves from leadership all of the time, thinking “that’s just not me!” What if leadership was simply influence and it was possible to be influential in many different ways? The Apostle Paul was clear when he wrote to the Corinthians that believers are an awesome, diverse group with a responsibility to bring their gifts to the community.

1 Corinthians 12:4-12

4 There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. 5 There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. 6 God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.

11 It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.12 The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.

We believe that every woman has a unique deposit that God wants to use for His purposes. This “deposit” includes our gifts, passion, personality, abilities and location. Unfortunately women shrink back from God’s invitation, preferring to stay in the background and not be stretched. This is very sad and they often feel like they are missing on “something more”.

Here is the thing: God wants to use us!

And He uses US…we don’t have to be anybody we are not because leaders come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. We simply need to acknowledge our gifts and passions and take responsibility to learn and develop what God has deposited in us.

God is looking for women who are open to saying YES to Him!

Are you willing to say, “YES?’
